Russian library at our school! 10/10/2009
After working on this project for 1.5 years, I am very proud to announce, that yesterday our school had received a generous gift from the Russkiy Mir (Russian World) Foundation, Moscow, Russia: Russian children’s books for our school’s library! A primary focus of the Russkiy Mir Foundation is providing grants in support of the Russian language, Russian culture, and organizations representing the Russian world, including outside Russia. Read more about the foundation here: http://www.russkiymir.ru Our dream has finally come true and a great new beginning has started! Many thanks to the Russkiy Mir Foundation, our library will include 634 books! Most of them are appropriate for an elementary school reader. Starting November 2009, we begin a school-wide reading program in Russian! Soon your child will bring home a SCHOOL LIBRARY BOOK!
