Dear Parents and Friends: We are beginning our See’s Candies annual fundraising sale. We chose See’s because of its fine reputation for quality. Also, everyone will LOVE to get a box or two of See’s candies for Winter Holidays!!!
Since all of the students will benefit from our fundraiser, we would greatly appreciate everyone’s cooperation.
Please ask everyone you know (friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers) to place their order.
Below you will find Presale Form from See’s Candies in .pdf format.
You can either print out this form, or just e-mail it to your co-workers, friends and family.
When people place orders, they need to give you a check payable to RAIS in the amount of their order.
Remember, everyone is paying exactly same amount of money as they would have paid in an actual See’s Candies store!
But ……if you or your friends order through this fundraiser program, NOBODY PAYS SALES TAX!!!
And….. there are no processing fees or shipping fees too!
Please stop by our display at the school entrance hall to review candy box sizes.
You will also receive a color flyer with an order form on the back (exactly what is attached to this e-mail) and an envelope for your convenience.
We are proud to announce that our school has become a part of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth’s program called Global Talent Search.
This program is open to students in grades 2-8 who show great academic promise based on test scores and achievement in school. It is the most comprehensive program for academically advanced students worldwide.
The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth extends our school’s commitment to helping our academically talented students by providing a different type of academic assessment, plus special courses for qualifying students.
Our school has nominated 5 students in second grade and 6 students in third grade. These kids will receive a package with their name on it.
Parents should read and take all further actions.
We wish our nominees the best of luck on their special tests that asses their math and verbal/reading talents!

I would like to remind you about our back-to-school picnic:
WE EXPECT EVERY FAMILY OF OUR SCHOOL TO BE THERE!
Date: Saturday, October 9th
Time: 11:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Place: West Portal Playground
Address: 131 Lenox Way @ Ulloa Street
It looks like we are going not only meet with each other, discuss important questions about the school and have fun on the play ground, but also enjoy delicious food including a variety of salads, vegetable rolls, blintzes, salmon-cream cheese-bagels and other Russian authentic food for which I do not know the English translation. Try to translate “Chicken plov” or “Oliv’e”!
Don't forget to pick up our School Roster for 2010-2011 made by PA at the picnic!
Thank you for being so enthusiastic about the event! I am sure we will have a great time there!
