What is accreditation?
Accreditation is the process of reviewing a school’s
programs and policies to see if it meets criteria set by an
outside agency.
Why is accreditation important?
Accreditation is meant to
protect students and schools. It certifies to the
public that the school is a trustworthy institution of
learning. It validates the integrity of a school’s program
and student transcripts. It assures a school community that
the school’s purposes are appropriate and being accomplished
through a viable educational program. It also fosters
improvement of the school’s programs and operations to
support student learning.
Our Accreditation:
Approved Candidate for Accreditation, Western Association of Schools and Colleges
( WASC )
In 2007 our
school had become a member of Educational Records Bureau (ERB)
. It is an educational service organization meeting the
student assessment needs of over 1500 independent school and
suburban public school members since 1927.
Developed
for ERB by Educational Testing Service, the
Comprehensive Testing Program
(CTP4) that is currently used by our school is the
only standardized achievement test designed specifically for
high-achieving schools and schools wishing to set high
standards.
CTP 4
provides useful instructional information to administrators
and teachers for students up to and including the highest
achievement levels.
