Communications between the School and Parents

 1.  School Reports:

Grades 2-5:  The school issues these bilingual documents four times a year: in October, December, April and June.

Grade 1:  The school issues a Report Card three times a year: December, April and June.

Kindergarten :  The school issues a Report Card two times a year: in December and June.

2. Portfolios:

Teachers select pieces of students’ written work in both languages each year so that they can monitor progress in writing during the children’s years in the School.

          3. Conferences with Teachers:

Your child’s teachers will schedule an appointment for you to discuss her/his progress with them.

In addition, parents may ask for a parent-teacher conference at any time

Depending on the child and the subject of the meeting, student participation in the conference can be a very positive experience both for the child and for the parents. We recommend student participation for the older children (grades 3-5).

Visits to the School by Parents and Others

We invite parents to attend all special school events and meetings as described above. We also invite parents to participate in the life of the school as volunteer Room Parents, speakers to the classes on subjects of their expertise, etc.
