• SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES

   

  There are assembly-presentations by each grade level every year, including special celebrations. Students perform for their fellow students and the parents of that class in Russian and English.

   

• FIELD TRIPS

   

  San Franciscois such a beautiful place to live, with so many places to go. Students extend their learning in the classroom by visiting sites and participating in activities outside the school. So field trips are very much a part of the academic program at RAIS.

  Teachers, assisted by other teachers or parents, organize visits to places of interest in the San Franciscoand Bay Area during the school day. Tuition fees do not cover the field trip expenses.

   

•  CELEBRATIONS  

   

  1. Class Parties and Celebrations. At certain times of the year, e.g. just before the Winter break and just before the Summer Holiday, teachers may organize celebrations either on or off campus.

  Teachers may request help from parents on these occasions, but the teachers accept responsibility for the organization of the celebrations and supervision of the children during normal school hours.

   

  2. Birthday Parties.  If you wish you may help to organize a low-key recognition of your child’s birthday through your child’s teacher of the day. A healthy snack is preferable.
